SHARING LOVE MISSION

Our Aim

In our own Country “Bharat” more than 8 crores of people are Adivasis who belong to more than 400 tribal groups.  Of these Bhil Adivasis are the 3rd largest group numbering more than 78 lakhs.  It is our endeavour to take the gospel of Christ to these people and build His Church.

The beginning of the Mission

Bro. V. Devadoss and his wife Sis. Vahitha Devadoss had a calling from God to serve among the unreached in the northern part of our nation.  When they prayed together fervently saying,”Give us Oh Lord, one whole tribe of people in our life time”, God took them among the Bhil Tribe and guided them to realize their vision.

According to God’s leading, on 28-12-1990 this Missionary couple Bro. V. Devadoss and Sis.  Vahitha Devadoss were dedicated by Bro. Mohan C. Lazarus (Jesus Redeems) Nalumavadi, Thoothukudi Dist, Tamil Nadu during the Fasting Prayer Meeting called Thirappin Vasal Jebam.

After sufficient preparations the couple started their missionary work in the Mission Field on 1.7.1991.

Location

More than 35 lakhs of Bhil Adivasis are living in three different districts in three different States. (Viz)  Dahod in Gujarat, Banswada in Rajasthan, Jhabuva in Madya Pradesh.  They are close to each other.  Our Mission Centre has been established in Jhalod, Dahod District, Gujarat State.  It is a central place from where we carry on our missionary work.

The growth of the Mission

By the grace of God the number of our well wishers and supports our Mission is growing from strength to strength.  Our loving God has manifested His glory by performing great miracles during the fasting prayer meetings held in our Mission Centre.  The blind could see, the lame walked, hundreds of people who were in the clutches of the devil were set free. Thieves and drunkards repented and accepted Christ as their saviour.  A great revival took place.  Follow up work was undertaken village by village.  Our Lord helped to raise a group of native Evangelists.  A large number of villages turned to God, the Almighty. Churches were built and worship groups were formed.

It is a God given vision and burden that the entire Bhil Tribes numbering 78 lakhs must be met by their own tribal people.  To realize this great vision, God has raised a large number of dedicated native Evangelists who have a personal experience of salvation and baptism of the Holy Spirit. The Evangelists are committed the task of evangelising their own Tribes.

Praise God, 412 native Adivasi Bhil families have joined our Mission as full time ministers after receiving a short term training in our Bible School.

Village Churches

All praise to our Almighty God. 80,000 souls have accepted Christ Jesus as their personal saviour and they have joined the churches after being baptized.  They worship the Lord in 620 Villages ever Sunday.  152 village Churches have been built and 7 more are under construction.

Governing Body of the Mission

Sharing Love Mission is functioning under the guidance of a governing board consisting of dedicated men who have a vision to Evangelise the tribal people of India, especially the Bhil Tribes. It also has the blessings of great men of God.

This mission is supported by voluntary contributions of believers from various churches and a few Christian organisations and churches whose prime concern is winning souls for Christ and establishing the kingdom God in this earth.  Audited statements of accounts are submitted to the Government every year.
